The team 'Police Tutor' of the Local Police of Las Torres de Cotillas responded last Friday, November 9 to the call of the professionals of the IES 'La Florida' of the municipality to teach their students a series of talks on the proper use of Internet and social networks, and their possible dangers.
Two agents lectured schoolchildren about the safe and responsible use of new technological means, explaining the main risks to which they are exposed and offering advice to maintain their privacy without losing the communication skills that are part of personal development.
"Social networks are common tools of our society, useful and practical, which are already handled from an early age mainly in mobile phones and that is why it is important to train our young people about its good use and possible dangers," explains the mayor , Isabel María Zapata.
Collaboration
"The 'Guardian Police' is a program in which agents work with educational centers to, in collaboration with the educational community, detect and solve problems that may arise, especially with those students whose family or social circumstances make them more vulnerable ", explains the councilor for Citizen Security, Pedro José Noguera.
An initiative that is responsible for different actions, such as cases of school absenteeism, training talks to minors, interventions and information on social networks, etc.
