The City of Las Torres de Cotillas will hire four young people under 30 enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System for six months.
It will be thanks to a grant from the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government of almost 31,000 euros, an employment relationship that will begin next December.
The purpose of the service is to perform the tasks of eliminating weeds, garbage and debris in the municipality.
"These workers will perform street cleaning and street sweeping in those roads, green areas and places where waste accumulates, and in some cases can cause fires," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
The places of action will be the sidewalks, causeways, walks, arcades, steps, parking for public use on the surface, sports areas on public roads, and roads and rural roads that present a worse state of conservation.
In addition, the municipality has several natural areas, such as the green path of Rambla Salada, the Parque de la Emisora, the area of 'Los Sotos' of the Segura river.
"They are very busy areas for neighbors and we do not have enough staff for maintenance because of its size," the councilor points out.
