The school and the band of Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated on Sunday, November 18, the feast of their patron saint, Santa Cecilia, with a concert at the House of Culture 'Pedro Serna'.
"It was a great morning of music with a large public presence, in which the protagonists were our young interpreters who showed their great talent with songs of all kinds," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who attended this cultural event.
The concert, which had free admission, had two parts: in the first the band of students directed by José Ángel Palazón performed 'Slid'in the Blues' and' Pirates of the Caribbean 'and the group of percussion students played' La marcha of the cupcakes', 'Imagine' and 'Enola Gay'.
In the second one it sounded 'Ragón falez', 'Highlights fron La La Land' and 'Around the world in 80 days' by the hand of the band, after which it was accompanied by the choir of the school to perform the anthem of Las Torres de Cotillas, which features music by José Alberto Morales and lyrics by the popular Torreño poet Salvador Sandoval.
More musical appointments
In addition to this concert, the municipality has two other upcoming appointments with music.
On the one hand, the 'VIII Festival of Music Bands of Las Torres de Cotillas', which will take place on Saturday, December 1 (20 hours) also at the House of Culture and counting as guests with the musical group of El Palmar, directed by Ginés Aznar.
And, on the other, the traditional Christmas concert, which will take place on December 23 (12 hours) in the same municipal facilities.
Starring the school and the music band, you will have free admission as all these proposals and will play Christmas carols and themes of these parties, such as 'White Christmas', 'Adestes Fideles' or 'Merry Christmas'.
