The neighbors of Las Torres de Cotillas have since Monday, November 19, a new public bus service that will connect directly the municipality with the neighboring town of Murcia.
Included in line 41 that provides interurban transport service to the Torrena locality, has been launched by the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure and has been presented by the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and the general secretary of the aforementioned Ministry, Yolanda Muñoz, who have shared part of the journey with their travelers.
"This new line 41 service will save travelers a lot of time, since it will allow them to travel to the capital without having to go through Alcantarilla and Molina de Segura", explains Zapata, who points out that this service will coexist with the rest of the journeys. this line that do pass through these municipalities every day of the week and arrive at the bus station in Murcia.
"The estimated number of travelers who will benefit from this reinforcement will be 6,886 a year," said Muñoz, who stressed that this is the fulfillment of a historic demand from the Torreño Consistory.
Times of highest demand
The schedules that have been established for this new service coincide with the moments of greatest demand from users to move to the capital, so that from the La Florida stop the bus will depart at 7:30 am and at 4:00 pm. from the Circular Square of Murcia will leave at 14 and at 20'30 hours.
The ticket will cost 2'05 euros and travelers can count on a general bonus of 11 trips for 15 euros (1'36 euros / trip) and a voucher for students of 15 trips for 17 euros (1'13 euros / trip).
The route in the Torreño municipality will have stops in La Florida, gas station, Mula street, Church of Our Lady of Salceda, Las Monjas, Intermarché, Los Pulpites, Las Palmeras and La Media Legua, to undertake a direct route to the Plaza de Murcia.
