More than 50 bars of Las Torres de Cotillas participate these days in a campaign of the Department of Equality on the occasion of the 'International Day for the elimination of gender violence'.
"100,000 napkins with the slogan 'Break the silence, act' and the purple tie that represents this day, have been distributed in hotel establishments of all the town, a message that affects the need of the support of all to fight against this social scourge" , explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who has visited one of the establishments to know on the ground how this initiative is developed.
"In this way, we want to bring our neighbors closer to the work of raising awareness throughout the year from the City Council on this problem of today's society," says the councilor of the area, María Dolores Sánchez.
Other activities
In addition, this program has several other activities that start tomorrow.
The first date will be a relaxation workshop, which will have two dates in the social center of Los Pulpites: Friday November 23 (9:30 am) and Saturday November 24 (10 hours).
Taught by the personal coach Esther Vidal, has limited places and registrations can be made in the Department of Equality until there are seats.

Forum and march

It will be presented by the mayor of Torrena and the first presentation will be entitled 'Comprehensive care for victims of trafficking', given by Nani Manzanares, coordinator of APRAMP in Murcia.
Afterwards, the talk 'Comprehensive attention to women victims of aggressions and / or sexual abuse' will take place, whose speakers will be the social worker María José Garrido and the psychologist Fatima Vera.
