The municipal grass field of Las Torres de Cotillas hosted last weekend the start of the regional rugby league sub-18 of the Rugby Federation of the Region of Murcia (FERRMUR).

This competition started with the match that measured the RC Torres against the XV Rugby Murcia, with a favorable result to the visiting team by 35-50.

The day closed with the victory of Club Universitario de Rugby de Cartagena against CR Squalos Mar Menor-CURM for a convincing 60-0, while the ITV Vega Baja de Orihuela rested.

"In this competition participate five teams that integrate the great promises of this sport in our region," says the Councilor for Physical Activity and Sports, Ginés Pérez.

This league of base category is the third one of the FERRMUR, since it is added to the seniors that are disputed as much in masculine modality as feminine.
