Tickets have already been sold for the Christmas release of flying lanterns from Las Torres de Cotillas, which will take place next Sunday, December 23 (7:00 pm) in Adolfo Suárez Square.
This year its collection will be for the benefit of the Associations of Mothers and Parents of Students (AMPAs) of the schools of Infant and Primary of the municipality, in addition to the two institutes of Secondary.
"This is an event that is in its fifth year and this year we have decided that all the AMPAs will be the beneficiaries, who will be responsible for making their sale in full," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
"This beautiful and endearing event puts 3,000 lanterns on sale at a price of 3 euros, which will be exchanged for the tickets on the day of the event", informs the Councilor for Celebrations, Amalia Pérez, whose area organizes this event.
In addition, on the afternoon of the release the remaining lanterns will be sold in the same place and there will be activities for children, such as inflatable games, paint and popcorn.
Double objective
"With this event we are looking for two objectives: on the one hand, to promote a Christmas celebration that has been taking place for five years in Las Torres de Cotillas and which is increasingly accepted, and, on the other hand, that the collection always benefits the children and girls of the municipality ", highlights the mayor.
