Las Torres de Cotillas already looks the most Christmas.
Yesterday, Wednesday, December 5, the official act of lighting Christmas lights was held in the Adolfo Suárez square, which was chaired by the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, and the councilor of Celebrations, Amalia Perez.
After a few words of the councilor, a spectacular fireworks castle gave way to the lighting of the large Christmas tree that these parties will illuminate the square and the colorful lights that will brighten the main streets of the municipality.
Presented by Tony Blaya, this event had the collaboration of the associations 'Kimera' and 'Brodguay', the academy 'Víctor Campos', the peña 'Rincón Pulpitero' and the rhythmic gymnastics club 'Las Torres'.
The large audience of all ages that crowded the environment could enjoy the best performances of the young artistic promises of the municipality.
Everyone to skate on ice
A few municipal events scheduled by the Department of Celebrations to celebrate these holidays in the town that this year have two great novelties: on the one hand, the ice skating rink installed in the municipal pavilion 'Mireia Belmonte' from December 6 to 9 in morning and afternoon hours;
and, on the other hand, the great family celebration of evening-New Year's Eve that on Saturday December 29 (18 hours) will take place in the Plaza Maestro Don Angel Palazón with costume contest and tasting of grapes, cider and cotillion included.
A Christmas that will feature traditional events such as the proclamation, to be held on Saturday December 8 (20 hours) by the hand of Joaquín Alfonso Férez, 'The Quines', in the Church of Our Lady of Salceda.
Or as the popular loose of flying lanterns, which will be on Sunday December 23 (19 hours) in the Adolfo Suárez square and whose collection this year will be for the benefit of the AMPAS of local educational centers, which already sell tickets for this event .
In addition, there will be an appointment as expected as the delivery of the letters to the Magi, scheduled on Friday January 4 (11 hours) in the Adolfo Suarez square in a morning where the little ones can enjoy workshops, games, mats, popcorn, pintacaras ... And how could it be otherwise on Saturday, January 5 (17 hours) will come the great procession of kings, which will depart from Juan Carlos I Avenue and at which children can say hello to their Majesties and receive a sweet gift in the Plaza Mayor.
As a culmination, a tasting of chocolate and roscón will be offered at the Maestro Don Ángel Palazón esplanade.
