Spanish Red Cross emergency technicians gave a free first aid workshop for adolescents of the social-educational reinforcement program developed by the Las Torres de Cotillas municipal social services center.
"The children learned the importance of notifying the 112 telephone in case of emergency, they were trained on cardiopulmonary resuscitation thanks to several practical exercises and on the necessary actions in the face of a choking situation", explains the area councilor, María Dolores Sánchez.
This first aid workshop took place on Tuesday, December 11 and is the result of collaboration between the Torreño City Council and the Spanish Red Cross.
"It is important that our young people know how to react satisfactorily to situations of risk, because their actions can save a life," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
