The Employment and Training Service (SEF) of the regional government has granted the City of Las Torres de Cotillas three new employment programs, two local public employment and one mixed employment and training, which this time will have a grant from more than 330,000 euros.
"They will involve the hiring of 25 unemployed people, whose duration ranges from 6 to 12 months," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
The first local public employment program will involve the hiring of four young people enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System for a period of 6 months and will begin this December.
"These young people will be responsible for carrying out the tasks of eliminating weeds in public spaces, such as sidewalks, roads, sports areas, squares, etc.", points out the Councilor for Employment, Ángel González.
Cleaning, clearing and maintenance of roads and natural spaces will be the tasks of the second program of Local Public Employment for long-term unemployed, which is framed in the Joint Action Program with the SEF.
"In this program four long-term unemployed will be hired during a period of 8 months," says Zapata.
Also for over 25 years
The latter is a mixed program of employment and training on cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises.
Aimed at people over 25 years of age, this proposal will hire a teacher and a management monitor who will also perform administrative tasks.
In addition, students / workers - who must be registered in the employment office - will be hired in training from the first moment and for a period of 12 months.
"In the last dates we are counting on several of these programs, with objectives such as auxiliary activities of warehouse, cleaning in open spaces and industrial facilities or street cleaning", informs González.
