The municipal sports center of Las Torres de Cotillas was the scene on December 22 of the start of the regional championship of speed skating.
The Federation of Skating of the Region of Murcia opened this competition that offers a great show and in which the local skaters shined with their own light, hanging in this venue number a total of 13 medals: four golds, four silvers and five bronzes.
The golds were those of Ismael Palazón (mini-male), Alba Martínez (prebenjamín), Marcos González (benjamín) and Lola Hernández (master30), while the silvers were for Elena Sánchez and Pablo González (benjamin), Alejandro Bermúdez (juvenile) ) and Mamen Vicente (master30).
Finally, the bronzes were obtained by Alejandra Mora and Unai Ibro Pérez (prebenjamín), Mónica Bruno and Gonzalo Franco (alevín), and José Manuel Asensio (child).
Big promotion
The event had the collaboration of the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, and Torreño club 'Roller Queen', and played on the track of the municipal sports center.
"Congratulations to all our skaters for their successes, especially for having achieved them in our town and before theirs, and now to continue training to continue adding achievements", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
"It is worth noting the great work done by the club 'Roller Queen' to promote this sport, which already begins to have a large presence in Las Torres de Cotillas," says the councilor of the area, Gines Pérez, who presided over the act of delivery of medals.
