The security cameras installed in the IES 'La Florida' of Las Torres de Cotillas have achieved, after several weeks of operation, their main objective: to stop the vandalism that was being committed in the center and its surroundings.
"There had been several broken windows in the center and the throwing of objects and garbage inside," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, so the Torreño City Council requested authorization to the government delegation to install two security cameras with which to have permanently controlled the surroundings of the institute.
After little more than a month in active these tools have managed to stop the problems of vandalism in the environment of this teaching center, located in the neighborhood of Carmen municipality.
"This action is part of the reinforcement program of security, employment, cleaning and social services launched a few weeks ago in the neighborhood," says Zapata, which highlights the positive results achieved so far to solve neighborhood complaints.
In the security section, among other aspects, the presence of troops of the Civil Guard and the Local Police -including their canine unit- has been reinforced, with joint controls.
