The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has a project underway to improve accessibility in the vicinity of the 'Vista Alegre' school, located in the neighborhood of Las Parcelas of the municipality.
"This center does not currently have pedestrian itineraries adapted for access to its facilities by both students and teachers, with discontinuous pieces of sidewalks of insufficient size," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
Therefore, the construction of two pedestrian access routes to the school that will connect with the urban area of La Florida and Antón Tobalo and Las Parcelas streets has been planned.
Some works that contemplate -among other aspects- demolitions of current elements, new pavements and the placement of new horizontal and vertical signage, and that will have a budget of 49,546.26 euros.
"For this project we have received a grant of 25,000 euros from the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure," says Zapata, who stresses that this is another municipal action more aimed at removing architectural and urban barriers in the municipality.
