The soccer field of the hamlet of Murcia Patiño was the scene last December of the 2018 Alcalde Cup of African teams, organized by the Association of African Federations.
A competition in which the combination of Senegalese settled down in Las Torres de Cotillas and where teams of representatives from Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Mali competed also competed.
One afternoon of football that also featured a children's game, the corresponding act of awarding trophies and medals to the best, and the performances of the Cultural Association Graos de Areia and the African DJ Kunta Kinte.
"They participated with great enthusiasm in this tournament that offered competition and coexistence in equal parts, and enjoyed the most of a victory for which we congratulate them greatly," says the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
