For the second year in a row, the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías of Las Torres de Cotillas promotes the design contest of the poster for the children's procession of the local Holy Week, a procession that, since it started with good direction and successful participation in 2017, hundreds and hundreds of children up to 16 years of age, is already a reference in the social life of the municipality.
For the morning of next January 13, Sunday, the Center for Young Artists will host this event that constitutes a day of coexistence of the great family brother Torrena.
Aimed at children and young people up to 16 years of age, this competition designed by the guiding institution of the Passionist brotherhoods of the locality to value the creativity of the "little ones" and enlivened also with free recreational and didactic activities, will have as theme in its new edition the titular image of the Brotherhood of the Santísimo Christ of the Flagellation, work realized in 1990 by the brilliant Murcian artist José Hernández Navarro.
Registrations can already be made to participate in this contest.
Those interested can go to any of the eight fraternities that make up the Cabildo, to this entity as well, in the teaching centers of the municipality or at the same moment of the start of the contest.
The winning design in that contest will illustrate a procession in which Torrena children, starring in an event capable of awakening love for one of the most multitudinous and unique hallmarks of the municipality, becomes an expression of feeling of early devotion brother that counts for its good development with the collaboration of the town hall of the Villa.
The future of Torrena Holy Week is in those children who join a splendid procession lived by generations of neighbors happening in a continuity of something worthy of preservation and dissemination to the fullest.
So be it, with all the effort, faith and drive that moves this people with well defined goals.
