Citizens has denounced today that the implementation of a project of participatory budgets "unilaterally, without consensus and again relying on a defending councilor" by the PP has as its sole objective "that Torreños end up paying with our taxes part of the electoral campaign of the popular ones ".
This has been assured by the local orange spokeswoman, Marian Fernandez, who recalled that according to the accounts approved for this year there is only one game of 19,356 euros for actions related to participatory budgets, "which reveals the true interest of the Government team of the PP in this electoral and improvised measure ".
The orange spokeswoman added that "without agreeing, without announcing it beforehand and without thinking it through, the government team takes out of its sleeve a participatory budgeting project, full of discretion and propaganda.
If they really believed in participatory budgets, what they should do is first include their regulation in the Regulation of Citizen Participation. "
Fernandez also recalled that with this action, "the PP also breaches a Plenary agreement unanimously approved by all political forces at the beginning of the term, which mandated consensus on the aforementioned regulation.
The surprise was that shortly after starting the negotiations, the PP got up from the table in mid-2017. "
For the orange mayor, "the Torrenos we do not deserve a government team that is activated and do things every four years, but people who have a clear political project and the will to apply it with rigor, as is the case of Citizens".
