Members of Civil Protection of Las Torres de Cotillas taught on the morning of Thursday, January 31, a workshop on first aid for students of the upper level training cycle of Higher Technician in Sports and Physical Activity (TAFAD) of Salvador Sandoval IES Township.
"This activity, carried out in the facilities that this security body has, had free assistance for these students", points out the Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera.
This workshop included a theoretical part about basic life support techniques and then a practical part about cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers (CPR) and a contact with the use of a semi-automatic defibrillator (DESA).
"It is possible that these students work in the future in sports facilities where they have this type of equipment, so it is important that they are familiar with them and that they are properly accredited to exercise their use," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
