05/06/18 The meeting of Las Torres de Cotillas of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has commemorated the world day against cancer on Tuesday, February 5 with an informative day in the weekly market of the municipality.
"The work of information and awareness about this disease carried out by this entity in our town is worthy of praise," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who visited the volunteers in this work.
The research is helping the survival of cancer patients to increase continuously and is close to 60% of all diagnoses.
"The AECC attends every year to almost half a million people in our country with its support and accompaniment programs," says its president, Amalia Pérez, who recalls that prevention is the best way to combat this disease.
