The association Columbares, in collaboration with the Department of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas, continues to impart this year two training activities aimed at residents of the neighborhood of Carmen municipality: classes in Spanish and literacy for immigrants and school support for children.
"They are free, open to all and still have a great acceptance", highlights the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
The classes for adults are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays: from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for literacy and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Spanish, attended by about 20 women.
In addition, the school activity is carried out under the supervision of an educator in the afternoon.
"Primary students attend Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 7 pm, while Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 7 pm there is an open classroom with secondary school children", explains Zapata, who points out that about 20 children attend.
"It is expected that through EDUSI Las Torres Conecta will soon increase the activities in this neighborhood, with minors, sports, etc.", says the mayor.
