Until next Thursday, February 14, 25 students and three professors of the Lycée Albert Camus from the French town of Firminy are in Las Torres de Cotillas, on the occasion of the traditional school exchange program with the local Salvador Sandoval IES.
"This activity is now 10 years old and it is so important that it has led both municipalities to come together, an act that became official last April," explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who has given an official reception to the gala delegation in the morning of Monday, February 11.
An event in which the general director of Vocational Training, Sergio López, and the Councilor for Education, Pedro Cabrera, have also participated, and in whose conclusion the young people have received some books as an institutional gift.
Various activities
The students, from 4th of ESO to 2nd year of Bachillerato, share during these days with their "brothers" Torreños various activities, such as those that have taken them to tour Murcia, Orihuela, Cartagena or Calasparra.
"In April the visit will be returned by our IES, in an expedition that will also be composed of 25 students and 3 teachers," says Cabrera.
