And it is that two of its representatives - Angel Salinas and Sergio Jornet - have returned to be regional champions of their modalities.
"We are very proud of both, because they add numerous successes in their record and always carry with great brilliance the name of our town for all the championships in which they participate", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
On the one hand, Salinas hung three golds in the regional winter master championship held in Lorca.
He did it in his favorite tests, those of speed, in which he is a clear dominator for several years: in 60 meters (8'45 ''), in 200 meters (28'03 '') and in 400 meters (1 : 02'59 '').
On the other hand, Jornet was the champion of the absolute heptathlon regional played at the Monte Romero track in Murcia.
In addition, the Torreño got with 5,104 points the minimum mark for the championship of Spain absolute indoor track held this weekend in Antequera.
