The local center of La Media Legua of Las Torres de Cotillas hosts until May a free course of cleaning surfaces and furniture in buildings and premises developed by the association Columbares in collaboration with the local council, which is part of the 2018-19 edition of the project "Get going Get involved! Vega Media del Segura".
"The objective of this initiative is to improve the employability of people over 30 who are in a situation of social difficulty", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata.
In total there are 15 people who benefit from this occupational training, which has a total of 230 teaching hours (150 lectures and 80 internships in companies) and which will award a level 1 certification approved by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF).
"The attendees are from the municipalities of Vega Media and Campos del Rio, with nine from Las Torres de Cotillas," says Zapata.

"The municipal center of Social Services derives the people susceptible to participate in this project and, after a study of their social, personal, family, educational and work situation, they are offered job counseling, pre-employment training and occupational training with practical professionals ", indicates the councilor of the area, María Dolores Sánchez.
This program is financed by the European Social Fund, within the framework of the Operational Program 2014-2020 and the regional government.
