The Department of Youth, Physical Activity and Sports of Las Torres de Cotillas held on the morning of Sunday March 3 a free multi-adventure day in the vicinity of the municipal shelter.
"It was a morning with activities in full nature for the whole family, such as rock climbing, zip lines, monkey bridge, archery, games and scout dynamics, among others", explains the mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who remembers that the Ittaca scout group and the Orion archery club collaborated in it.
"With this new initiative we continue to promote healthy activities in family and in particular transmitting values of knowledge of the natural environment and respect for the environment, valuing the natural landscape of the Rambla Salada as a protected area," says the councilor of the area, Ginés Pérez.
A space in which several paths were recently designed: one runs along the banks of the Rambla Salada to the north and another one that goes south along the left bank of the Rambla Salada towards the Segura River, ending at the mouth of the Mule river.
With the DoUSport philosophy
An activity that draws directly from the philosophy of the European project DoUSport, which concluded last December after two years of work and numerous sports activities for all audiences in the municipality.
"The axis of this proposal was the promotion of an active and healthy lifestyle through sports for all, and the nearly 2,000 attendees to their various free activities developed show that it has been a success," says Zapata.
"In each proposal we want to continue transmitting a series of values and habits that we want to maintain over time," says Pérez, who wanted to congratulate the working group, collaborating agents and volunteers for their dedication and involvement.
Thus, remember that the days will continue to be developed under the premises of activities for all, free, inclusive, varied, attractive, motivating, not competitive, to enjoy as a family and encourage healthy habits.
