The Department of Social Services of Las Torres de Cotillas continues with the municipal program of actions aimed at prevention, monitoring and control of school absenteeism and reduction of school dropout.
Within the framework of this initiative, family schools have started, free talks that take place during the first semester of 2019 in the IES Salvador Sandoval and La Florida, and in the schools Susarte, Divino Maestro and Montezahar.
The objective is, under the framework of emotional intelligence, to provide the necessary resources so that there is a union between the family and the school environment, since without that connection the problem of absenteeism can not be canceled.
Participants receive information about adolescence, the role of parents in the academic environment of their children, and the need to implement norms and limits in the home for education in autonomy, motivation and accompaniment.
The different contexts in which absenteeism and school dropout can occur are also considered, as well as offering clues to how to prevent them at home, to tolerate frustration in children and to encourage self-control and tolerance.
This program is financed by the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Education and Universities.
