The athlete Torreño Angel Salinas, who last weekend was proclaimed national champion of 60, 200 and 40 meters smooth veterans over 65, has been received by the mayor of Las Torres de Cotillas, Isabel Maria Zapata, to transfer the congratulations from all the inhabitants of the municipality.
Salinas won those three golds in the Spanish championship races of veterans over 65 years of age on the indoor track played in Ourense.
With these three titles this specialist in speed improved his participation with respect to the last edition, where he was gold in 400 meters and silver in the 200, achieving some outstanding marks: 8'50 '' in 60 meters, 28'40 '' in 200 meters and 1: 03'05 '' in 400 meters.
These three golds are added to the long list of regional and national titles obtained by Salinas.
It should be noted that the sprinter, who was even bronze in the 4x200 meters relay in his debut with the Spanish team in the European Championship, participated a few months ago in the World Championship of his category played in Malaga.
