Volunteers from the Civil Protection Corps of Las Torres de Cotillas gave free first aid workshops at IES La Florida in the municipality.
In these activities, carried out the past 21 and 22 March, first a talk was given to explain the techniques to recognize a health emergency situation and thus be able to report the situation to 112.
After the theoretical part, the young people learned cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques (CPR) and put into practice the knowledge acquired in emergencies caused by cardiac arrest or also by obstruction of the airway.
These workshops are part of a program of Civil Protection in the municipal institutes for students from 1st to 4th of ESO, where they are taught how to face with maximum safety those decisive first minutes before an accident.
