The municipal full of Towers of Cotillas unanimously approved on the night of Monday, March 25, a joint motion of all political groups to change the name of the CEIP El Parque del Municipio by Maestro Jesús Ferrer.
Ferrer, who died on January 24, 2016 in a tragic accident, was mayor of the town during two legislatures (1983-87 and 1999-2003) and also served as regional government councilor at the beginning of the 1980s.
In addition to his political side, he was also well known in Las Torres de Cotillas for his teaching work at the Cervantes and El Parque schools.
In fact, this motion was proposed by his colleagues from the center who, after his death, initiated the procedure for this tribute from the first moment.
