The theater group Tejuba of Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated World Theater Day on Sunday March 31 at the Casa de la Cultura Pedro Serna.
For such an important date for this group born in 1967 the Torreño amateur actors represented La Venganza de Don Mendo, the play of the playwright Muñoz Seca from the beginning of the 20th century and which is one of the star pieces of his repertoire.
"This work recreates medieval Spain and is divided into four acts, which abound with puns and humorous blows," explains its director, Joaquín Cantero.
In addition, the councilman of Culture, Pedro Cabrera, was invited to read the international message of this year, in which the Cuban Carlos Celdrán shared his thoughts on theater and culture.
A recognition of Tejuba for the constant and unconditional support that Cabrera has been providing for years.
