Ciudadanos has asked the City of Las Torres de Cotillas to re-tender the contract for maintenance, conservation and cleaning of green areas for public use, due to the multiple deficiencies demonstrated in the specifications with the current concessionaire, as it does not performs some of his obligations.

Marian Fernandez, spokesperson for Citizens in the City of Las Torres de Cotillas has said that the work being done by the current concessionaire leaves much to be desired.

"Citizens has denounced in several plenary sessions the repeated breaches of this company, which does not respect the periodicity of maintenance of green areas, except in the case of the two most important parks in the municipality.

Also, it does not clean the parks properly, nor the groves of the Segura River and its surroundings, but the government team has ignored our protests;

moreover, he has decided to reward the inefficiency of this company by granting him another extension. "

In this sense, Fernandez is suspicious of the proposals of the local government that ensures that the company will make several improvements and will assume costs such as the salary increase of employees by agreement, and certain improvements in gardens and green areas.

"Obviously the company is not an NGO and if it assumes these expenses because it will obtain benefits because, on the other hand, the City Council assigns minor contracts."

The spokesperson for Citizens has indicated that the auditor's technical report "is a joke" since it literally states that "within the term of the four-year contract, the contractor has performed the tasks of the service optimally following the general mechanics of the work to be performed under the contract, as stated in the fifth clause of the Technical Specifications, for which the contracting authority has not penalized the same on any occasion, "a few words that seem an insult to the intelligence of the Torreños, since the neighbors have verified that this company does not comply with its work in the way that would be desirable ".

"That is to say that the government team of the Popular Party, mortgages and commits two months of the elections to the future corporation, which seems to us a serious irresponsibility," the spokesperson for Cs has concluded.
