The European project DoUSport, which was a participant with the City of Las Torres de Cotillas, will be the only project of the Region of Murcia presented at the national level for the NAOS Strategy (Nutrition, Physical Activity and Prevention of Obesity) of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
The main objective of this initiative was to explore the role of local authorities in the development of sport as an activity for all, free of barriers, that promotes an active and healthy lifestyle.
The DoUSport project was designed as a pioneering, innovative and inclusive community initiative. In this proposal, which began in January 2017 and ended last December, the Torreño Consistory collaborated with the municipalities of Tábua (Portugal) and Mielec (Poland).
