Once again, the municipal environmental education campaign has been held in Las Torres de Cotillas schools, aimed at 4th and 5th grade courses.
This initiative, which takes place since 2006, is divided into two training programs.
On the one hand, there is good urban environmental practice, with two sessions in the centers and an explanatory visit to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (EDAR) located in the hamlet of La Loma.
On the other hand, there is the urban solid waste program, focused mainly on the separation at source of these wastes.
In it the students participate in three sessions in their own centers and finally visit the municipal eco-park to see in person the process that is followed in these facilities.
In this campaign, which has a municipal match close to 2,300 euros, the schools El Parque, Susarte, Valentín Buendía, Vistalegre, Monte Azahar and Cervantes have participated.
