The municipal pavilion Mireia Belmonte of Las Torres de Cotillas was the place chosen by the Federation of Badminton of the Region of Murcia (FEBAMUR) to celebrate on April 13 the regional championship in junior and senior categories.

A competition that had the collaboration of the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, and with the participation of the best players from their categories come from all points of Murcia.

In this championship the participation of the athletes of the badminton club Las Torres was very outstanding, achieving eleven first places and seven seconds.

The champions were Alberto Párraga (individual sub 11), Maria Nieves Brao (absolute female doubles), Irene Sanchez (female A1 doubles), José Belmonte and Irene Sánchez (mixed A1 doubles), Carmen María Martínez (female individual B1), Antonio Brao and José Belmonte (double B1), Carmen María Martínez (female double B1), Antonio Brao and Carmen María Martínez (double mixed B1), Antonio Brao (male individual B2), José Belmonte (male individual C2), Cándido Osorio (male individual) D).

For their part, the runners-up were Alberto Párraga and Candela Martínez (both in doubles sub-11 and double mixed sub-13), Raúl Rosell (individual sub-15), Raúl Rosell and Javier Velázquez (doubles sub-15), Elisa Isabel Brao and Laura López (doubles sub-17), Martin Bordier (absolute men's double) and Cándido Osorio (doubles men D).
