As every year the Department of Health of Las Torres de Cotillas has begun on this date various treatments for deratization and disinsection of the sewerage of the municipality, both in the urban area as in districts and urbanizations.
These tasks are carried out for the control of rodents and insects in these municipal infrastructures, with special emphasis on those areas where the presence of these pests is most evident.
They consist in the placement of rodenticide bait in the sewer records, as well as in the insecticide treatment aimed at the control of the cockroach (American periplaneta) and sewerage fly.
The works are being carried out by Hidrogea, the concessionaire of the municipal potable water and sewage service, and are part of the annual campaign for these controls.
In total to the year there are two treatments that are carried out to reduce the incidence of these pests, so that the next will be in August.
