The municipal sports facilities of Las Torres de Cotillas host tomorrow, Friday, May 17 (9:30 a.m.) one of the most traditional events in school sports: the School Sports Meetings, which are celebrating their sixth edition.
Some championships that were presented yesterday May 15 at the City Council by the mayor of Torrena, Isabel María Zapata, and the head of the Physical Education department of the IES Salvador Sandoval, Jose'Serna, whose center is the organizer this year.
Organized by the Department of Physical Activity and Sports, the centers themselves and the Directorate General of Sports, this call proposes a set of 20 sports events.
About 500 secondary students from the Divino Maestro, Susarte and Monte Azahar schools, the Nuestra Señora de la Salceda professional training center, and the La Florida and Salvador Sandoval institutes will participate.
In both male and female category, the football-7, 3x3 basketball, handball, volleyball, swimming, badminton and athletics (400 m, 1,000 m and long jump) championships will be played, while in the single category the sports will be tennis, paddle tennis, chess, checkers, racquetball, table tennis, softball, mate, choreography and petanque.
