The Valentín Buendía school in Las Torres de Cotillas held a new edition of its Cultural Week between the 6th and 10th of May, which this year was awarded to children's literature -the main theme of the year in the center- and had the title Tales of our childhood.
An initiative that included various specific activities in the center, as well as other extracurricular activities in the different subjects related to this initiative.
Among the proposals was the first edition of the book fair, held through the Second Life Book and Gifts initiative and in which schoolchildren of all ages and their families were able to acquire books.
As guests attended the mayor Torrena, Isabel María Zapata, and the Councilor for Education and Culture, Pedro Cabrera, who received books and bookmarks as gifts for schoolchildren.
A fair designed to encourage from the earliest childhood to the passion for reading and which was so well received that at the center they want to repeat the experience
Other activities
In addition, other activities were carried out, such as storytelling by classrooms with family assistance, the creation of a giant story that is in the center's library, projections of short films, an exhibition at the entrance of the school in which each classroom showed its story, etc.
To conclude, the magician Guillermo Avilés -specialized in children's entertainment- was invited to offer the show La magia del cuento.
