Last Friday, May 17, Las Torres de Cotillas celebrated World Recycling Day in the Parque de la Constitución.
He did it with a proposal with free assistance developed by the Department of the Environment, focused mainly on raising awareness among children, where there will be no shortage of activities, workshops and gifts.
In Torreño Park this celebration was distributed in different points of activity.
In one of them the participants painted to know the importance of good use of containers and the deposit of the correct waste.
Another point proposed paintings of animals and plants, while there will be no shortage of eco-games and table games.
In addition, in another of the spaces the children made recycled materials toys, pots and bracelets, both to raise awareness about the problem in seas and oceans by the contamination of plastics and on the recycling of paper and plastic.
Reduce, reuse and recycle
UNESCO declared May 17 as the world day of recycling as an opportunity to remember the strategy of reducing, reusing and recycling, which seeks to reorient the behavior of all citizens with a view to improving the environment.
On this day, framed in the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, collaborated Urbaser, Ecoembes, Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and Ithaca scout group.
