14 students of IES Salvador Sandoval of Las Torres de Cotillas have participated in a free debate course organized by the Department of Education and concluded on Saturday May 18.
A former student of the center, specialist in debate, has been in charge of directing this training initiative that has a certain tradition in the municipality.
This course, which has had about 50 teaching hours distributed between January and May, has taught its participants to compete in the two most popular debate formats in the educational sector: academic, where high school students participated, and parliamentarians, with the Bachillerato students.
Last session
The last session took place in the plenary hall of the Torreño City Council and had a large attendance of the public, who could verify the skills learned by the students of this course.
With two teams composed of four students of 2 ° Bachillerato each, the theme of this final debate was the depopulation of rural areas and the group that defended that people prefer cities was imposed.
