The municipal gypsy development program of Las Torres de Cotillas, coordinated by the Department of Social Services, has carried out an awareness campaign in educational centers in which a total of 580 students have participated.

Under the slogan "Lección Gitana", the objective of this initiative was to combat stereotypes and prejudices rooted in our society, promoting equal treatment and non-discrimination.

Thus, talks have been given in the schools Valentín Buendía, San José, Monteazahar, Divino Maestro, Vista Alegre, El Parque, Cervantes and Joaquín Cantero, as well as in the IES Salvador Sandoval and La Florida, and in the Vocational Training Center La Salceda.

The activity, which was subsidized by the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS) and the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, has had a total of 15 sessions and the participation of 6th Primary and 1st Secondary school students .
