The Torreña Mónica Puche has been proclaimed Spain champion of outdoor archery, in the form of a bare arch.
He did it on May 19 in the championship held in Guijuelo (Salamanca), imposing on the podium to Leon Amparo Guardiola and the Catalan Marta Gimeno.
"Monica has taken an important leap, proving to be a great athlete, since last year she was already bronze in this same competition," highlights the acting mayor, Isabel María Zapata, who wanted to send her congratulations "on behalf of all the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas ".
"I came to the championship very calm and although I made a qualifier a bit weak both in the semifinal and in the final that tranquility came to me very well to be champion", explains Mónica, who highlights "the good atmosphere among all the archers".
Puche, belonging to the club Rincon del Águila, is a regular of the first places in the national championships.
Not in vain, in previous years she has been runner-up in Spain with a naked arch in the 3D room and bronze in an open-air 3D arc in both the individual and with the Murcian team.
