There are management policies that must be undertaken with a gradual calendar but also with that vision of the future, which, when considered in the long term, is the key to addressing the solution to challenges over a period of at least one generation.
And it is about what it is about to offer the society of the immediate tomorrow the guarantee of a better world than what we now have.
The strength of this demand must be evident, for example, in the fight against climate change, providing as weapons for that combat alternative sustainable systems that must be generated from the same base, from the local to the global, from the municipality to the supranational organisms, from awareness-raising activities in sectors of the population such as the school to realistic sustainability measures.
The strategy is thus to provide us with smart cities, innovative municipalities, more thriving spaces, healthy, clean for their neighbors.
And that road map would run by the commitment of an Administration as close to the citizen as a city council to apply tax rebates and rates such as the IBI for the houses that opt ​​for the installation of renewable energy plants such as photovoltaics, the " car stamp "for electric or hybrid vehicles, the deployment of a network of charging points for electric cars and the execution of European funds of the caliber of EDUSI to provide sustainability to the greatest number of actions carried out in the whole of a municipality.
In this sense a municipal area of ​​management with great prominence in the previous and current legislature in municipalities benefited with the economic endowment from the EU to undertake from efficiency criteria the corresponding EDUSI in their local spaces is the European Projects highlighting in that aspect Consistories of our immediate surroundings, that of our Region, such as Molina de Segura, Las Torres de Cotillas, Águilas, Torre Pacheco and the capital of Segura.
For many of these municipalities, these Sustainable Urban Development Strategy funds represent the largest amount of external funding they have ever received.
Regarding my municipality of residence, Las Torres de Cotillas, EDUSI investments, which exceed 6 million euros, are a unique opportunity to improve various areas of activity in our town as evidenced by the impact on four vertebration axes of the progress and future of the Torrena population: improving the use and quality of ICT (improvement of electronic administration, development of actions to catalog the city as "Smart City" and mobile applications and services that allow participation and interaction between citizens and the City Council), promote the transition to a low carbon economy, protect the environment (development of sustainable urban mobility and connection with industrial zones, and the promotion of the use of renewable energy in buildings and municipal vehicles) and promote efficiency in resources (transfer of the National Radio of Spain (RNE) antenna from its current location in the Parque de la E
misora ​​to an area outside the urban area), and social inclusion and fight against poverty (the implementation of a plan for the social integration of families in vulnerable situations, the regeneration of degraded areas and the improvement of access to employment for disadvantaged groups).
We speak of a package of initiatives to strengthen the positive future of the municipality, its economic progress and its sustainability, definitive tools to create greater quality of life, well-being and prosperity to the citizens in what it represents, in short, the establishment of new technologies in the offer of public services to neighbors, in entrepreneurship, the enhancement of a human and natural heritage and the firm commitment to social integration.
It is a strategy of a very reforming nature that seeks, in short, to take advantage of the new possibilities offered in different sectors of activity to strengthen the economic and social growth of an enterprising municipality;
to improve the living conditions of all its neighbors.
The EDUSI is one more step in that sensible commitment to compromise with future generations that will inherit this planet.
For them it is worth deciding on such vital colors as green and blue.
