"On the banks of the Segura", set called monograph to be all authors related to Las Torres de Cotillas, is an authentic and ambitious poetic adventure where its defining features are the creativity, spontaneity and freshness that underlie the verses collected in its pages, an adventure that at all points is aesthetic concern, enthusiasm, kaleidoscope of styles, forms and sensibilities, a breath of expressive force that combines with skill and subtlety quality, diversity and free participation.

"On the banks of the Segura" is a reality project that embarks on its journey with a vocation for continuity and improvement (as of today almost twenty published titles endorse this assertion), a compendium of refined poetry that represents the effort of a broad and a varied cast of local writers who try to make the force of words and lyric creation a means not only to communicate ideas, feelings or emotions but also to transmit realities and desires in order to transform the society in which we live.

"On the banks of the Segura" must be at all times a dynamic element of social life and cultural identity of Las Torres de Cotillas, a meeting point for our literati, a direct way of knowing what our neighbors write;

in short, an effective tool for the promotion and dissemination of the Torrena culture exemplified in the literary works of its writers, creations brimming with originality and "Ars poética".

We offer all because "On the banks of the Segura" is an inexhaustible flow of creation, a profuse vein of inspiration and the most natural expression of worlds, realities and philosophies of life.
