The City of Las Torres de Cotillas has already put to work to undertake various improvement works in the schools of the town during summer school holidays.
"Schools are the basis of education and therefore of our society, and schoolchildren and teachers who attend there daily must enjoy the best facilities and conditions," explains Torreño mayor Joaquín Vela Fernández.
While the Department of Education finalizes the technical reports to determine the list of tasks to be undertaken in the schools of the municipality, they have already begun to perform the most urgent.
Thus, the first of them has been carried out at the Vista Alegre school.
"In this center the cleaning and repair of the rain gutters has been proceeded, whose poor condition due to precipitation and accumulated waste can cause serious problems, such as stagnant water, leaks, floods and even, in more serious cases, problems structural aspects of the building ", points out the Councilor for Education, Rafael Martínez García.
In a few days we will begin with the rest of the improvement works in Torreño schools, which -among other tasks- will contemplate masonry, painting, plumbing, gardening ...
