The City of Las Torres de Cotillas, through the Department of Maintenance of the City, is performing the tasks of caring for the palm trees of the municipality.
During these days the pruning of the units located in the street Antón Tobalo is being carried out, with the main objectives of guaranteeing the correct development of these trees and the safety of the pedestrians.
"The palm trees create new leaves in the upper part of their canopy, while the old leaves dry in their lower area, so we must proceed to eliminate the dried palms, as well as the fruits that may end up in the street ", points out the councilor of the area, Marian Fernández Fernández, who remembers that these tasks are carried out every year at this time.
