As every year around this time, the village of La Loma de Las Torres de Cotillas has enjoyed four days in which it has celebrated the festivities in honor of San Joaquin.
"It has been a few intense days of neighborhood coexistence, for adults and children, with a program designed for the whole family and with all their free acts," said the councilor for Neighborhoods and Pedanías, Marian Fernández Fernández, from whose area these have been organized celebrations
These celebrations concluded Sunday, July 28, with a day that started in the morning with Bicycle Day.
At its conclusion it was the turn of a great water festival for everyone, after which a tasting of paella took place.
As a climax, at the end of the afternoon, an orchard Mass was celebrated in honor of the patron, and then everyone left in procession with San Joaquin on their shoulders through the streets and roads of La Loma.
A parade that was chaired by the mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández, and whose final touch was put on a tasting of churros with chocolate and a castle of fireworks.
Many activities
The festivities began last Thursday, July 25 at the end of the afternoon, these festivities started with games and mats for the little ones, followed by a bingo with many gifts and surprises, a cold dinner and a mobile disc.
On Friday, July 26, onomastic of the patron, the children's games and mats were repeated as an appetizer for the I Night of the Brasa and the Zurra, which was enlivened by the performance of the Caramelo group and a mobile disc and a great foam party .
The DaKiTu batucada enlivened the parade with which the acts of Saturday July 27 were opened, a parade that departed from the Hermitage of the district.
Already at night the residents of La Loma tasted a cold dinner, which was followed by a musical magazine with the performance of Lola Montiel and a masterclass of the local association Brodguay, which offered cotton and popcorn to the attendees.
