The City Council of Las Torres de Cotillas, through its Department of Social Services, has ended the summer school for children and adolescents that has developed in the civic center of the Barrio del Carmen. "It has been a pilot experience, within the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) Las Torres Conecta, 80% financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in which 25 children from 6 to 17 years old participated and from which we have obtained a very valuable assessment satisfactory, "explains the mayor responsible for the area, María del Mar Ruiz Rosillo.
This proposal, which has been held throughout the month of July, has developed various school and leisure support activities: sports, crafts, cooking workshops, visits to the local pool, the beach and the AquaNatura leisure center, talk on first aid ... "With these actions we intend that these minors have access to certain recreational-educational activities during their holiday period, which would otherwise be really impossible," said the councilor, who attended the closing day next to the director of the municipal center of Social Services, Águeda Sánchez.
