The urban solid waste collection and road cleaning service of Las Torres de Cotillas has just added four new electric blowers to the service, equipment that is characterized by being quieter than the old ones of diesel.
"These tools will allow to give a better service to the citizen, since they only reach a sound level of 80 dB compared to the others, which emit above 95 dB", highlights the mayor of Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández.
This improvement is part of the extension of the urban waste collection and road cleaning contract provided by the Urbaser company in Las Torres de Cotillas.
"The cleaning of the streets of the municipality is one of our tasks of greater responsibility, in which we must be constant and constantly evolve to guarantee the well-being of our neighbors," said the Councilor for the Environment, Francisco Fernández Baño.
"In addition, this improvement is reflected as a mitigation measure for climate change in the Climate and Sustainable Energy Action Plan approved in January this year," explains the mayor.
