This 2019 is thirty-seven years since the Statute was approved that would give freeway and structure of government and administration to our Autonomous Community.
In itself a statute of autonomy that since then becomes a pact that reflects the will to be and grow from our land and also, as well defined by a leader of the time, "the deep and consistent claim with our history, with our present and with our will for the future ".
Almost four decades later, is the Murcian autonomous model sufficiently consolidated?
The majority of citizens of this land are in favor of the current configuration of the State of the Autonomies despite being shaken by this Region by the under-financing by the State that infringes as tort2E
And what should be clear is that an autonomous model that structurally works and guarantees territorial economic growth and social equity must be well oiled.
And for that recipe, financing and autonomy are closely linked terms.
Without financing, there is no autonomy, and who does not have autonomy pays that of others.
Without financing, it is impossible to prioritize social policies -competition of the Autonomous Communities- or to take courageous actions to boost the economy and employment, based on the use of resources and the strengths of our Autonomous Community.
The slogan of a radio ad that proclaimed "what is the use of technology if it is not to thrill?" Comes to mind.
I bring to my land the motto to reflect: what is the use of politics, autonomy, if it is not to get excited as citizens ?, if it is not to convince us that Murcia has enough tools to move forward, taking full advantage of the virtues of our Nature of Region ?.
We must bury an addicted reality plagued with proposals for asymmetric deficit, where long-standing historical communities have been giving priority to indebted eyebrows, in exchange for an apparent political and territorial "pax".
The function and utility of an Autonomous Community such as ours is combined with the verb "to do", which is not done by our freelancers, SMEs, family businesses, businesses and entrepreneurs, by our youth, by creators and creatives, .. Who is going to do it?
In these thirty-seven years of autonomy, the balance of transformation to more and better of our Region is very visible, but the future must be cleared to continue along this line of development with determined State policies that, in matters as vital as financing and the provision of infrastructures and water resources of our Autonomous Communities, do not harm or mortgage growth and welfare potentials such as those shown in our Region for example.
