Next Monday, October 7, the free Spanish classes for foreigners organized by the Department of Equality, Social Services, Seniors, Volunteering and Integration and Coexistence of Las Torres de Cotillas will begin in the neighborhood center of Los Vicentes.
"This activity is aimed at immigrants residing in the town with problems of understanding Spanish and classes will be on Mondays, with a schedule from 20 to 21:30 hours that facilitates the assistance of working people," said Councilwoman Maria from the Sea Ruiz Rosillo.
This course has among its objectives to greatly facilitate the coexistence of the different nationalities that live in the municipality.
"It also seeks to provide means for the immigrant to function correctly when looking for employment, interacting with others, etc.," says the mayor, who points out that another goal is to make Spanish culture known to people who arrive to our country, making them participants and favoring their integration into our society.
Theory and practice
The Spanish classes, in addition to being a training activity, are based on the participation of the students in the classes.
In them, the theoretical teaching of the Spanish language will be combined with exercises in reading, writing and, above all, conversation.
Those interested in receiving more information or attending classes can go to the Municipal Social Services Center or call 968.624.220.
