On October 10, World Mental Health Day is celebrated and the municipality of Las Torres de Cotillas has prepared various activities to commemorate such a marked date.
Therefore, two associations based in the municipality -AFES Salud Mental Murcia and Comarcas, and Puro Corazón- have organized in collaboration with the Department of Social Services a very complete day aimed at all audiences with a clear objective: to make visible the day-to-day life of This collective.
Under the slogan Connect with life, AFES proposes in the Constitution Park (11 hours) a series of stands where its users, accompanied by professionals, will share part of their day to day.
"Our goal is to make our group visible from a positive approach by inviting to know different ways to stay connected: stop, breathe, choose foods that give us energy, talk to someone ...", they explain from the association.
In addition, a manifesto will be read by Mayor Torreño, Joaquín Vela Fernández, the president of AFES, María Teresa Martínez Lacárcel, and one of its users.
Art will also have its place in this proposal, since it will open at the Women's Center the exhibition Connecting with life, from the heart (11:30 hours).
This will have free admission, will show the work done in its artistic workshops (ceramic pieces, painting, photographs ...) and will be open to the public on October 10, 11 and 14.
Many workshops
For its part, in the afternoon Puro Corazón will also organize a day in the Parque de la Constitución in which the Brodguay association, the local Civil Protection Corps and the Tales from the Heart project will collaborate.
