Tomorrow, Monday, November 4 (16 hours), the Constitution Park of Las Torres de Cotillas will be the epicenter of glass recycling in the municipality.
All this thanks to the school campaign 'The Little Recyclers in the Region of Murcia', which will organize a giant GlassOca within the activities proposed in the town.
A fun activity that will also have an informative stand and that follows the line of this initiative, whose main objectives are to teach them to recycle glass containers, as well as create the habit of doing so and show them the environmental benefits that this entails.
Also a contest
This environmental awareness and education campaign among primary school students, in which Torreño City Council collaborates, takes place during October and November, and proposes a contest with prizes to the centers that recycle the most.
Each school has a glass container in the vicinity of its center, personalized with its name, where to deposit the containers.
Monthly the most recycling school - in relation to kilos and students - will receive a check valued at 100 euros for school supplies.
In the end, the municipality that recycles more kilos of glass during the campaign will win a prize valued at 3,000 euros.
An amount that will serve to adapt 'The Corner of the Little Recyclers', a municipal space for use and enjoyment of the smallest of the house.
A web and other activities
There is a website available (www.lospequerecicladores.es) where you can follow the classification of participating schools, in addition to obtaining downloadable educational material to strengthen awareness objectives.
In addition, among the activities parallel to the contest so that all schoolchildren learn about the recycling of glass containers in a fun and different way, theater plays have been performed at the Pedro Serna House of Culture.
